M:Do you know that Tom is going to Canada?
W:No. How long will he travel there?
M:Not for a trip. He is going to move next month.
W:Are you sure about that? I've never heard of his plan for it.
M:Absolutely true. His son runs a company there and he is going to live with him.
W:What a pity!
M:Why did you say that? It's a good thing for him. You know, he always misses and worries about his son.
W:I know that. But it's a pity for us to lose such a good neighbour. He always helps me when I'm in trouble.
M:Me too. But anyway we hope he'll live happily in the future.

M:Is there any place in the hotel for amusement?
W:You can go to the garden for jogging or bike riding. It is very relaxing there. And a beautiful lake is being built and will be finished next year.
M:That sounds good. But is the garden the only place to go now?
W:No, sir. There is a recreation center on the ground floor. You can play golf, table tennis, and go bowling. The area is big enough for 50 people to play PK games.
M:Is there a place where we can listen to some music?
W:Yes, sir. There is a music teahouse. You can enjoy both classical music and modern music, while having some Chinese tea or other drinks.
M:Oh, great. Thank you very much.
W:It's my pleasure.

M:I'd like to make reservations for two to New York. Do you have anything in economy class for this Saturday?
W:Just a moment, please. I'll check. Yes, sir. We have two seats available on TWA Flight 502 at 10:30 a.m. Will that be all right?
M:Well, I have to attend a business meeting by noon. Don't you have anything earlier?
W:Let me see. Yes, there's an 8:15 flight. It gets to New York at 10:45. But it's business class. How's that?
M:Time is right. How is the ticket price?
W:300 dollars per ticket.
M:Oh, it's a little expensive.
W:Er, actually, we have a special flight on Friday night, economy class and 120 dollars per ticket. Do you want to take it?
M:All right. I decide on this flight. These are the identity cards of me and my wife.
W:Here are the tickets, sir. The flight number and boarding gate are on your tickets.
M:Thank you very much.
W:Our pleasure, sir. Have a good trip.

Text 10
W:Choosing what to study at college is definitely the biggest decision a young person makes. When students consider their major, they often think about the security and the salary of the job.
But my choice of major is firmly the choice of my heart:journalism.
Many people don't regard journalism as a good job at all. It's seen as too demanding, because a journalist must cover a wide range of news in different places. My parents want me to have a stable job, and they also want my working environment to be safe and relaxing. However, journalism isn't safe or relaxing.
In spite of that, I still love the idea of a future in journalism, and here are the reasons. First, I have read and watched the news since I was a child, always hoping that one day I'd be able to cover the current events myself. Second, the skills I would develop in journalism, such as writing and editing, would really add to my strength. But the most important reason for my wish to become a journalist is that lots of false information spreads in the world via the Internet. I want to be a journalist to play my part in fighting it.
Therefore, although my parents don't like my decision, I have a clear sense of its value and I believe that the world needs more good journalists at the moment.
