W: Mr. Wonder? Would you mind taking your stuff to your office? There’ll be a meeting at three o’clock.
M: Oh, I’m sorry. I’ll try to finish this before the meeting.
W: But can’t you work in your office? This is the conference room, not your office.
M: I know. I should have done this in my office, but these are the letters from the audience and they takes up so much space. My office doesn’t have enough room.
W: I see. Do you have to finish reading them today?
M: I’m afraid so. There’ll be a lot more coming in tomorrow. I can’t leave it till tomorrow.
W: What you need is a bigger desk. I’ll see what I can do.

M:Hi, Jane. I have already read a book recently,
The Power of Goal Setting
. It is really worth reading. How about you?
W:I have just written a report. Oh,
The Power of Goal Setting
? I haven’t heard about it.
M:It was written by Gabriel Aryeetey. What he says in the book really makes sense.
W: Then what are goals in your opinion?
M:Goals are something that you hope to achieve. There are three kinds of goals: lifetime goals, intermediate goals and short-term goals. A lifetime goal is one that a person hopes to get all his life. It should be reasonable.
W: Then a short-term goal?
M:Well, it refers to outcomes expected during next year. This goal helps with the achievement of intermediate goals.
W:Great! Goals are actually important for the different stages of our life. And now I must work out my goals, especially my short-term ones.

Boys and girls, I’m going to announce some exciting news to you! We’ve decided to raise a dog named Penny in our school! And Penny is a black dog and only 30 days old. Today Penny will make her first appearance. Penny will work on a project called Raising a Guide Dog by Students. As we know, a guide dog is a dog specially trained to guide a blind person. When Penny grows up to 90 days old, she will be tested for intelligence and personality. If she can pass the test, she will become a guide dog. Everyone is welcome to join in this project. And each class has different duties as follows.
Some students will help run a special Internet page all about Penny on the website. In the speech and communication class, students will write the questions and conduct the interviews on the website. Students in the English class will update the daily information that appears on the page and respond to all the e-mails addressed to Penny! The geography class will help to do the same work as the English class. In the life skill class, the students will look after Penny. It will teach the students about the responsibilities of caring for others and help them grow up healthily.
