With the winter vacation just around the corner, are you looking for a cool getaway? Have you ever dreamed of going to the ice castle from the movie
Frozen
? If so, the Quebec Winter Carnival, which lasts from Jan. 27 to Feb. 2, is an event that you can’t afford to miss.
The first large winter carnival took place in 1894, in Quebec City in Canada, which is the world’s snow capital. The people living in the city are often faced with inconveniences in winter, so they have reinvented this interesting tradition to warm the hearts of all people. Gradually, it has developed into a great event for the entire city and the two-week Quebec Winter Carnival has become the largest winter carnival in the world today.
Young and old, men and women ... everyone becomes part of the event’s atmosphere of joy. Night performances, snow sculptures and activities based on the traditional Quebec lifestyle are real highlights. The carnival is a great chance to get rid of those winter blues, celebrate and make merry during the cold, snowy winter.
